We had the wonderful opportunity to chat with Joslyn from Joslyn & The Sweet Compression, after her set at the 48th annual Telluride Jazz Festival.

One thing is for certain: Joslyn performs with soul, she speaks with soul, and lives with soul.

Joslyn commands attention—not through flash, but sheer presence. Her yellow dress matched her vibrant energy on stage. Her vocals poured out with effortless power, backed by a tight-knit band that breathed groove in every direction. Their sound was simultaneously grounded and elevated.

We caught up with Joslyn after the show for an audio interview, and her words echoed the performance: music as a liberating force, deeply human and joyously unleashed. We touched on grief, love, ambitions, the power of music, and more.
